Ohm’s Law

How are Voltage and Current Related?

We will do an experiment to measure the current through a resistor and the voltage across it. A resistor is just like a long wire.

Look at the data table of Current (I) and Voltage (V)

The ratio of voltage and current is similar (we can say the same).

If, I = Current and V = Voltage

So, V/I = Constant (Constant is called Resitance (R) )

Then, V / I = R ( The Ohm’s law)

Conclusion :

The current flowing in a metal wire is proportional across it (providing the temperature remains constant)
